Throughout the holiday season, shoppers will come across decorated donation boxes in almost any store. Due to COVID-19, members of Crown Club (an all female community service program) were unsure if it would be possible to collect donated toys for their annual Christmas toy drive. On Sunday, November 8th, Crown Club members came together and decorated cardboard boxes to distribute throughout the town. The girls followed COVID-19 precaution regulations and wore masks as they worked in groups of three. Once all the boxes were decorated festively, they were taken to stores around the Amory, Hatley, Hamilton, and Smithville areas. All the donations collected will go towards the Crown Club’s toy drive. The drive is for kids who may not get to have a Christmas; and, especially now that COVID-19 has created even more of a physical and financial strain, kids need this now more than ever. So, if you happen to come across a Crown Club box, drop a purchased toy in it! Your donation is sure to make one child’s Christmas a little more merry and bright.
